Back in the late 1980’s, for those of you younger folks, there was a campaign to get rid of lead based paint. The claim was that toddlers living in poor black neighborhoods were eating chipping window sill paint and being brain damaged by the lead in the paint.
Sounds kind of “Outer Limits", but the campaign against lead based paint was real. The amount of time and money put into the emotional bombardment of that fear campaign was astounding. Then someone decided breathing the fumes when filling up your car with leaded gasoline is bad. After 50 years of using leaded gasoline now it is also polluting big cities. I think was probably legit. I agree large doses of lead can be a health issue but toddlers suddenly ingesting paint chips was ludicrest. For a while there were more and more emotional talking heads on TV pushing the public to get on board and demanded that lead be removed from paint, gasoline and lead pipes. It did the trick. Caring, well meaning moms jumped at the chance to save children from lead paint and did their work for them. Now all that was needed was to pay the media outlets for a job well done.
Scientists discovered their new technologies, such as Thermal imaging, were being blocked by lead based paint. Something had to be done, hence, the beginning of the campaign to remove lead based paint. Tons of implications for this technology but lead got in the way so the military, FBI, CIA, police, or whomever, needed to remove the lead in paint without the public knowing the real reason why. Back then this technology was mostly kept secret.
After lead based paint was dealt with the subject quitely shuffled to background noise which left manufacturers the unfettered opportunity to use lead in everyday items such as car batteries, some paints and colorants as in ceramic glaze. It is still used as a soldering agent because of its low melting point, the plastic coating on household wiring and somewhat in ammunition, especially the older ammo. This is just a short list of lead uses of our everyday world. Click this ink for more. Surprise! There's lead in that.
We are in the midst of another really big distraction campaign going on right now.
Fast forward to iRobot, tomorrows crop of AI. Also let’s not forget, “Minority Report”, Stanley Kubrick’s “2001” and many others who’s movies and books display the downfall of humans to this AI technology. These earlier movies and books planted the seed. Now is the time to sell more fear.
At present our military industrial complex has technology that is at least 50 years more advanced than what we are presently allowed to see.
At present, there is a well seasoned propaganda campaign underway to paint cops in a really bad light. Like, who would want to be a cop these days? With all the cutbacks and defunding under way, the training is most likely less than adequate than it used to be. Is risking your life for a small paycheck and a promise of a pension worth it? Plus, a few years on the force, after all the crap these guys and gals see and deal with daily, they can become cynical. The struggle is real for human law enforcement officers. Live in their big city world for a day, you would understand. Who came up with the “no bail,” catch and release thing anyway? (That was a rhetorical question. I think we know what happened and why.)
I see it coming. A widespread use of robot dogs, and spy robot flying insects. Active Denial System(look that one up, it will scare your socks off) and sound cannons are already here. It shouldn’t be too long before iRobot type AI shows up to your house or homeless camp, puts you in handcuffs and hauls you off to the pokie because your neighbor said you farting in the wind.
Even Elon Musk has changed his stance on the AI issue. AI scares him too. He claims it could produce an “Immoral Dictator.” There will always be that chance of a Doctor Evil in humanity. Greedy and power hungry people who love to hurt others have proven to most of us to have the circuit board in their brain put in backwards. Their wiring is all messed up.
So, should us good guys be afraid? IMHO, I find a healthy dose of trepidation a good thing. It keeps one awake and aware of the possibilities of an evil playbook. First to come to mind is the WEFer’s and their thirst for control. If you are paying attention you can see what is next, AI is their big boy joy toy.
I heard it somewhere that the WEF or whoever is controlling the narrative, have to tell us what they are going to do and if we don’t stop them, their evil is on us because we chose to not stop them. They truly don’t think like normal loving people. I used to think Alex Jones was their mouthpiece because the things he has been saying for 20 years are now coming upon America, like moving the average guy off the land into stack and packs. The process of squeezing what is left of the normal guy until he begs for bread to feed his family is the gift that keeps on giving from the WEFer’s. That once hard working normal guy will now take whatever he is offered to survive. But I digress. . .
There are ways to defeat some of these scary new technologies. I’m not a computer or robot whiz, living out here in the woods but I have heard some things. Primitive weapons can and do, so I have heard, disable an advancing iRobot or space alien too, for that matter.
A good ol’ 12 gauge shotgun. Aim for the joints or battery pack. Every home should have a shotgun, but you will need to get it quickly before the long gun registration goes into effect in Michigan. They haven’t passed it yet, you say. They will, give ‘em time, give ‘em time. Don’t forget the ammo.
A well aimed paintball. If you take out the camera/eye it will be a little more difficult for iRobot to chase you. Don’t have a paintball gun, throw some mayonnaise, warm bacon grease, soft dog poop, or a sheet or towel over the eye, whatever you got. Also works for cops in riot gear. Aim for the clear plastic face shield.
I’d think a laser pointer would work if you see them coming from a distance. Anyone have any information on that one please let us know. It seems to work for airplanes when some idiot points it at an airplane.
At least for now, a wifi or a GPS jammer will slow them down.
I’m sure the builders of these things will figure out their vulnerabilities and we will have to upgrade our tactics. The future can be a scary place if you let the propaganda seep into your psyche. We can prepare with low tech gear. Ancient African tribes used would defeat the invader using poison blow darts and booby traps. A nice big fly swatter can take out a small insect drone. Oh, just think of the fun you could have.
Makes the future seem just a little less scary when armed with a little primitive knowledge, eh?
Disclaimer; don’t believe anything I say, I have imaginary friends.
