The art of war teaches us to rely not on the likelihood of the enemy's not coming, but on our own readiness to receive him; not on the chance of his not attacking, but rather on the fact that we have made our position unassailable. Sun Tzu
From my wooded seclusion out here in the boonies, there are not many distractions to pull my attention to the noise of human activity. I did listen and watch, however, as the bullshit floated across the computer screen or television during the 2020 election cycle. The propaganda and neologism was superbly executed, like a laser pointer with pin point accuracy directed at the emotions of college age women. I offer many accolades to the writers of that stuff, they studied their target audience very well.
Just now ol’ Zuck bent a knee to the new incoming administration rather than have his secrets revealed or go to jail. Zuckerburg, having changed the terms of service on facebook, afforded me the opportunity to be bad on Facebook again and I wasn’t censored. But this time, my bad was in the interest of science, you see.
In this facebook science experiment I created an anonymous identity, added a couple of close friends and joined our local countywide gossip and rumor page.
On this countywide gossip page, I generally posted stuff without comments. Just stuff I heard or saw, true stuff as I knew it to be. One post went something like this; I listened to a man being interviewed in a video yesterday discussing; “the factory where I have been employed for the last 15 years hired illegals and gave them each a $10,000 sign on bonus. The catch is, we have to train these people who started at a higher pay grade, who now make more than me and they speak no English. We have had to color code everything because we couldn’t communicate with them and they couldn’t understand us. They didn’t always get things right.”
That was the extent of my post on the page where the administrators claim no censorship. No comment from me, even though you could tell this man was demonstrably upset in this podcast interview.
OMG!! As soon as I pushed “post,” it was like someone dropped a dead chicken into a river filled with Parana. It was a feeding frenzy. I was called so many racist names and accused of atrocities against “these people” who are just looking for a better way of life. I was absolutely amazed and totally shocked at how emotional and angry these responders became at me. Not at the fact this man had described this happening at his place of employment, but that I was reporting it so I must be racist.
The man being interviewed was visibly upset about having to train his replacement, who had just received a huge bonus. (It turned out the new hires were part of the Biden Admin. pay out to certain factories who hired illegals. Yes, this happened in Michigan.) I should think more people would have compassion for this poor man than the non-citizen taking away his livelihood. But that wasn’t the case.
Example number two; I asked people on our countywide facebook page if anyone saw the 6 or 8 gray haired old ladies jumping around and waving their signs at drivers this afternoon? They were next to the road in front of the courthouse. Their signs pointed to the fact they don’t like Trump and Elon.
Again, I was verbally attacked for not being a Christian or at least not being a good one and not having compassion. I’m not entirely sure who I was to have compassion for, those carrying the signs jumping around on a cold February afternoon or the reason for the protest. Bad Trump and Musk, bad, bad.
Ok, now this is getting fun, let’s carry this out one more step. I engaged one of my detractors, the one who said I wasn’t being Christian like and I needed to learn some compassion. That lady, the one who immediately assumed I wasn’t a good Christian. The two of us did a volley back and forth a few times, she, getting a bit nasty. But I remained pleasant, of course, but maybe a tad bit snarky. “Don’t Christians laugh at funny things? The old ladies flapping signs at cars on the corner was funny and I think you read too much into that posting”, I explained. “Well, you should pick your words more carefully,” as she calmed herself from my brow beating.
Needless to say, this experiment was quite enlightening, although, I pretty much knew what the outcome would be. My experience with town people during the 2020 election cycle was, at times, down right scary. There were times when civilized? people actually were pushing and shoving because of their political views. One shop owner, who had been in business for 50 years, was ostracized, his reputation smeared on facebook and young protesters blocked his doors because he put his favorite political candidates sign in his window and they demanded he take it down. It was so sad to see these people behaving in such a deplorable manner toward this old, sweet business man, who had served this community cheerfully for so long. He closed his shop before this last election and sold the building.
During the 2020 election season there was a lot of vandalism of candidate signs in and around our town. The rub with trashing those political signs outside of town here in the U.P. was the vandals had to drive from house to house to work their destruction, some houses are 10 miles apart out here and not everyone had a sign in their yard. Psst, now that is determination at its finest.
Rest assured, I will be doing more “experiments” on facebook, guaranteed. But what this taught me was when the SHTF here shorty, I want to know who it is that is close to me and mine. What kind of temperament do my surrounding neighbors possess? Is it something we can deal/trade with? Can they put aside “ME” and melt into our group and thus can they be trusted. That’s the biggie. Trust.
Franklin D. was a very smart man. He knew his politics, no doubt. If one were paying attention, one could actually see the dance steps in this most recent election, orchestrated and choreographed by the finest minds. But don’t be fool this has been in the works for many, many years, the bankruptcy of America. They needed a demented old man as president for four years to show the world what the swamp is and who the swamp is for the plan to work. Now, with honey wagon on standby the swamp can begin to be sucked up. But the White Hats needed a pair of balls large enough to withstand the hatred and suffering that this take down will bring. It’s going to get ugly,it has to. It will encompass the whole world once it gains momentum. There is no change without pain, but Trump is getting tired. He has begun his term with the vigor of a Thor like hammer lightening strike, but how long will he be able to keep up this speed? He ain’t a young guy, ya know. He needs us to help him clean the maggots out of D.C. “We the people,” need to learn some new words.
Neologism— In linguistics, a neologism is any newly formed word, term, or phrase that has achieved popular or institutional recognition and is becoming accepted into mainstream language. Most definitively, a word can be considered a neologism once it is published as a Democratic dictum.
Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to stay alive in 25. The evil doers are throwing so much shit at “we the people” that we don’t have time to breathe. Food shortages, infrastructure destruction (lots of fires), diseases, unhealthy skies, crop failures, the weather, oh, that weather. One right after another.
It’s time to gather up your tribe, vet them and train, train, train. There is no time to waste. My experiment above taught me much about the type of people I want in my tribe and how they see themselves in the world. Maybe I’ll develop a personality test for those I vet and allow close to me and mine, eh?
Bonus And this is how it begins
