“Ladies and gentlemen welcome to the 76th 2025 Hunger Games.”

Hubby is in the kitchen bent over a crossword puzzle for his momentary entertainment. “Tell me the first word that comes to mind,” I shout from the other room. I need an idea for a substack post. There was a few seconds of silence hanging in the air and then,“FOOD!” he shouts back at me.
“Food, football and fu. . . fun,” he clarifies. Well, of course, I should have known. “We’ll go with food,” I yell back. Food is universal common ground.
“Hey, look. A few of the “Kings fowl”, as I came into the kitchen. Wild turkeys, pretty as you please, wondered into the yard all puffed up. “He’s trying to impress his harem with his reproductive prowess”. I point out rather obviously, it is spring after all.
“Kings fowl? What are you talking about?” He asked in a puzzled voice as he got up to look out the window.
“Yeah, the Kings fowl. If you were starving and you shot one, without the states permission, they would put you on death row in a maximum security prison somewhere.” I said sarcastically exaggerating my point.
“Oh, I agree. The state of Michigans noose has been tightening on hunting, fishing and snowmobiling for the last dozen of years. The fees for hunting alone are pricing most people to rethink hunting at all. Fishing is another quagmire with pricing and pages and pages of rules. The average guy must put the book to memory before putting a line in the water. If you get caught by a patrolling DNR agent with a fish that is not the right size or color or whatever, the fees and license forfeiture are nightmarish. The last three times I was out fishing when DNR people suddenly materialized from who knows where and asked to see my papers. Makes ya feel like a criminal just going fishing.” Oh boy, I got him going now, I thought as he ranted on.

“Wasn’t the “Hunger Games” with Panem, President Snow and the country divided into 13 districts first published in 2008? Uh, Obama was elected in 2008.” Just a weird observation I postulated.
When Obama was “King” I remember he signed in Executive Order 13603 of 2012, basically allowing the government ownership of everything within the U.S. and it’s territories during times of crisis.
Executive Order 13603; Section VIII is particularly interesting.
Least of which is the conscription of human labor. With this EO still on the books it makes whomever is sitting in the house that is white, 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., technically “King Snow”.
When they come to take your stockpile via EO 13603, I heard, they might leave 3 days of food for your family. Ha, riiiight. You do know that Trump signed an anti-hoarding EO? I think this EO was mostly for Covid supplies. While doing some research I came across an interesting citizen hoarding EO legislature that came from the Bush jr. reign. When it really comes down to it who knows how far government testicles can reach in this day and age.
Sorry, Mr. Nosy Bunny, you don’t fall under the Kings protection here in Michigan, just yet. You are considered a nuisance and can be put into the stew pot as necessary. They reproduce so quickly that supply should be sufficient for awhile during a crisis. But, there is that problem of discharging a firearm within city limits. . . I digress.
One of the things the “Hunger Games” never mentions is growing your own food. In the film they indicated that people could be put to death for hunting President Snows animals. So I imagine seed saving and growing food at any of the districts other than district 11 was also prohibited. “All the food that was grown then was sent to a central location to be distributed by the Kings minions”? I wondered out loud.
Hunger Games each district Panem districts explained.
Can you feel it? We have a time coming up very soon where we may face severe food shortages or even scarcity. To be truthful, I had a series of dream visions when I was about 15. I shrugged them off as wild teenage imagination and gave them little credence until I was older. Something in the 1980s was triggered in my inner self to keep a pantry full of canned goods, rice and oatmeal. Plus it was about that time I started saving seeds and gardening.
My efforts were being ridiculed and I was called a hoarder for trying my best to keep a full larder, however, I am confident by continuing a full larder will be vindicated and useful very shortly. 2025 is the year things start coming to a head, mark my words.
Sometimes if you are open, the universe provides the information. As I was pondering this post a video presented itself as validation that the time is now.
Look-See April 2025 Penny Kelly lives in Michigan, she is a Naturopathic practitioner, also a remote viewer. In this video she mentions how people will be seeking out the older generation for advice on how things were done back in their day.
Ah, thinking back to the 1970s, I ask you have you ever talked to someone using two tin cans and a string? Taken care of a sick child without calling the doctor? Plucked a chicken? How long will Americans last without the availability of fast food?
I charge Gloria Steinem with the crime of sedition for making women believe their place was in the workforce and caring for children was menial at best. Her propaganda was ripe and she laid it on thick encouraging women to seek to bust through that glass ceiling. Staying home and raising a family was the equivalent of prostituting yourself to the drudgery of a house under the care of a man. Women began running from raising children and willingly jumped on the hamster wheel of corporate servitude. They gained self esteem, the me generation started a new ear. Steinems one women act, some say she was paid by George Soros, began the breakup of the family as a necessary progression to feminism and equal rights. Now our kids are guaranteed to being raised by someone else. Each consecutive generation since gets easier to drive through the narrow end of the funnel. “Students, get in line. Single file, everyone in single file.”
———> Tomorrow is coming fast. Do we have a choice? We do have a choice?
After thought: I resisted reading the “Hunger Games” when it first came out, thinking it was simply a childrens book. My son said that it was more than that and that I should take a look at it. So I bought a copy and read them, then I watched the movie.
I realized Hollywood has been telling us what is being planned for mere mortals for a long time. Suddenly, it hit me like a ton of horseshit. Humans have been so easily lead, brainwashed and manipulated. By destroying human history we are easily driven by celebrity and authority figures, by convenience and shiny objects to assure abject conformity of all humans. A shiny new cell phone, anyone? Ayn Rands short novelette “Anthem” makes perfect sense to me now. How did we let this happen?
