U.S. borders have been a hot topic in the last few Presidential cycles and debates. But most of us with busy lives and struggling with current events are particularly unaware of the ever unhelpful, constantly changing government bureaucracy. Is this because it is meant to keep us safe and create jobs or are we becoming more unbalanced, confused, and unsafe as Americans, and now are subjects belonging to an ever tightening unconstitutional noose?
WASHINGTON D.C. (WPBN/WGTU) — June 14, 2022 - Supreme Court stated that U.S. Customs and Border Protections can make warrantless arrests at residences within 100 miles of the U.S. border, in a decision released on Wednesday.

“After World War II, Congress codified the broad powers that the agency had assumed for itself. It passed a law in 1946 giving Border Patrol agents authority to arrest undocumented immigrants and to search vehicles “within a reasonable distance from any external boundary of the United States,” without the warrants that would usually be required by the 4th Amendment to protect against unreasonable search and seizure.” LA Times
From the University of California, Riverside;
“This federally sanctioned expansion of border control is part of a movement towards expanding police and national security powers without regard to the effect of such expansion on our most fundamental constitutional rights. If we do not continue to challenge these intrusive federal systems, we risk forfeiting our fundamental rights and freedoms.” See entire article here, very informative.
Now this is interesting! I can see there are several states that are entirely engulfed in the unconstitutional zone.
I live in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula which is completely within the yellow zone in the above map.
I had to see how this affects states like Michigan which are completely covered by that infamous yellow line. See this 2 page PDF that was put together by the ACLU. The first sentence says it all; Americans need to know what their largest law-enforcement agency is up to.
Back in 2014;
“President Obama unveiled Thursday a major executive action on immigration policy, offering temporary legal status to millions of illegal immigrants, along with an indefinite reprieve from deportation.
There are roughly 11 million undocumented immigrants (in 2014, millions more in 2022 at last count.) in the United States, and political leaders of both parties agree the current system is broken and needs fixing. Yet Obama's action has outraged Republicans in Congress, who say the president doesn't have the authority to delay deportations for such a large class of people without legislation.” (Immigrants were being flown into sanctuary cities in the middle of the night.)

The Oregon attorney general has responded by filing a suit against the Trump administration for violating the protesters’ civil rights. See article here.
Scroll down to "I recognize myself. . ." begin reading there Hearing before the Committee on Homeland Security house of Representatives 113th Congress- second session. Chairman McCaul makes opening statement on immigration.
And so the battle for the border rages on with your rights, my rights and immigrants rights caught in the crosshairs, peppered with a large portion of confusion. Please do yourself a favor and familiarize yourself with this subject for the upcoming midterm elections. If it isn’t a hot button topic, it should be.
A proposal was offered in Congress to reduce the 100 miles unconstitutional zone to 25 miles, which seems reasonable proposal. However, as of this writing is hasn’t gone anywhere. Just stuck in Congress probably never to see the light of day.
As per the usual operations of government, once an Executive Order has been entered into the record it is, as a rule, never revoked/rescinded. It may be added to or changed but it is extremely rare for it to be taken off the books. Biden is the first President to kill Executive orders from the previous administration that I am aware of. And he went at it like his pants were on fire! Killing every EO from the previous administration with feverish hatred. Has any of it made a pinch of difference? It would be a good one to watch for during campaign speeches and debates with candidates at the upcoming midterms.
